We all know there is a critical need for academic training in cortical/cerebral visual impairment (CVI). Salus University will offer a second micro credential course in CVI, “Neurological Visual Impairment in Children.” The course begins in early February 2023 and is open to professionals in the field of visual impairment.
“The eight-week course offers professional development to practicing Educators of Children with Visual Impairments and Orientation and Mobility specialists on best practices for serving children with neurological visual impairments and their families.” The best part is that the course has been offered as part of the Continuing Education (CE) program but “will soon become the foundation for a graduate level course and will be required as part of the Salus CER curriculum.” We all know there is a critical need for required coursework in CVI as part of every vision professional’s training.
