The original Start Seeing CVI t-shirt was created in 2014 when Jasper transitioned from birth to three services to preschool. Our introduction to the public school system came with the realization that, yet again, we had an educational team that had not heard of cortical visual impairment (CVI), and a vision team that did not know nearly enough about CVI. And Start Seeing CVI was born.
In addition to your t-shirt, you can now raise awareness of the leading cause of visual impairment in children, CVI, every time you carry the Start Seeing CVI tote! Or first thing in the morning with a Start Seeing CVI mug, or on the road with the Start Seeing CVI travel mug, both links are below.
The newest version of the popular shirt is designed for teachers. CVI 10 characteristics text appears on the back, to reduce Complexity while working with your students who have CVI. Thanks to the TVIs who made this request.
