The original Start Seeing CVI t-shirt was created in 2014 when Jasper transitioned from birth to three services to preschool. Our introduction to the public school system came with the realization that, yet again, we had an educational team that had not heard of cortical visual impairment (CVI), and a vision team that did not know nearly enough about CVI. And Start Seeing CVI was born.
The newest version of our popular shirt is designed for teachers. The text appears on the back, to reduce Complexity while working with your students who have CVI. Thanks to the TVIs who made this request.
In addition to your t-shirt, you can now raise awareness of the leading cause of visual impairment in children, CVI, every time you carry the Start Seeing CVI tote!

So that early childhood educators, occupational therapists, ophthalmologists, optometrists, orientation & mobility specialists, pediatricians, physical therapists, special educators, speech language pathologists, and teachers of the visually impaired can Start Seeing Cortical Visual Impairment. Half of proceeds from each sale is donated to the Pediatric Cortical Visual Impairment Society. The PCVI Society is the only nonprofit solely dedicated to CVI.
