The original Start Seeing CVI t-shirt was created in 2014 when my son transitioned from early intervention services to public preschool. Our introduction to the public school system came with the realization that, yet again, his educators had not heard of cortical visual impairment (CVI). That included a vision team that did not know nearly enough about CVI. And Start Seeing CVI was born.

In addition to your t-shirt, you can now raise awareness of the leading cause of visual impairment in children, CVI, every time you carry the Start Seeing CVI tote! Or when you attend a school team meeting with a Start Seeing CVI mug, or when you are the road with your Start Seeing CVI travel mug, both links are below.
The newest version of the popular shirt is designed per teacher request. CVI 10 characteristics text appears on the back, to reduce Complexity while working with your students who have CVI. Thank you to the TVIs who made this request.
